Sherman Oaks packs a lot into one zip code, and the terrain changes fast. North of Ventura Boulevard, near the 405 and 101 interchange and the Galleria, the lots are flatter and more compact. South of the boulevard, the streets climb into desirable hillside homes toward Mulholland and Beverly Glen. We are a West San Fernando Valley company a short drive west in West Hills, and we build for both, with the drainage and design chops the hill lots require.
The Sherman Oaks hills give you privacy and views, but they also give you slope, and slope means the sub-base, retaining walls and drainage are the real job. We engineer all three so a patio, pool deck or driveway stays level and crack-free, and so we can carve a flat, usable deck out of a sloped lot.
Many Sherman Oaks properties, especially north of Ventura, are on tighter lots where every square foot counts.
